The trial scheme mooted for the declaration of riders for T.A.B. treble and double races has been approved by the executive committee of the New Zealand Racing Conference.
At a meeting held in Wellington two weeks ago. representatives of many groups associated with the racing industry recommended a three-nionth trial system.
with riders to be declared by late Friday morning, .with changes to be made onlyunder exceptional circumstances.
That plan went before the committee and was apK roved. The plan begins on lovember 1 and will run until the end of January. Another meeting will be held, possibly during Cup week, also in Wellington.
