been named managing director of Wrightson NMA, Ltd. He succeeds Mr E. D. Watts (below) who has retired after 41 years service with the company. ;
Mr Watts joined Wright Stephenson and Company, Ltd, at Oamaru in 1941 and worked at the company’s Wellington, Taumarunui, Te' Puke and Palmerston North branches before being appointed branch manager at Dannevirke and Masterton. He moved to head office in 1969 in charge of the livestock, wool and rural finance divisions, was appointed to the board of Wright. Stephenson in 1970, and became chief executive and managing director of Wrightson NMA- in 1974. He was appointed to the Challenge Corporation board in 1972 and the Fletcher Challenge board on its formation. Mr Watts has also retired from his position as president of the New Zealand Stock and Station Agents' Association. Mr McLachlan has been a general manager and director of Wrightson NMA since July, 1981. Before that he served as branch manager at Feilding and Nelson and in various positions at Dunedin, Kelso, and Timaru since join-
