Club netball champion
PA Hamilton ■Hamilton's champion team, Verdettes, won the Western Building Society national club netball championships at Hamilton on Saturday, beating High School Old Girls of Poverty Bay. 33-26. in the final. ■ verdettes, which included three New Zealand representatives. Margaret Forsyth, Tracey Fear, and Rhonda Meads, had earlier beaten Sacred Heart Old Girls of Christchurch, 35-23.
High School Old Girls reached the final after beating the strong Collegiate team from Auckland, 31-30, after being down,. 20-13, at half-time.
