PA Blenheim Marlborough wound up its rugby season with a 20-19 win over Combined Services in a non-championship game at Lansdowne Park, Blenheim, on Saturday. ; ■ Services was never in the lead but could have taken the match if a conversion from touch, four
minutes before the final whistle, had gone over. Marlbrough led 16-9 at-half-time. Scorers: Marlborough 20 (Brian Ford (2). Dave Neal, tries; Kevin Sutherland, a conversion, two penalties), Combined Services 19 (Mark Henderson, John Woodhouse, tries: Andy McMaster three penalties, a conversion).
