A Christchurch artist, Jon Corben, with his pencil drawing, “The Kumara Picker,” at the Thornton Gallery in Hamilton, where he has been holding an exhibition of his works. Fifteen pencil drawings and oil paintings, depicting New Zealand personalities, have been on display. Mr Corben, who was born in Te Awamatu, moved to Christchurch after attending Waikato University, and became a full-time artist. His exhibition, which follows up a successful one there earlier, will end today.
