Burst main floods street
PA Levin A burst water main which flooded part of Levin's main street forced the police to close State highway 1 for two hours yesterday. Traffic was diverted round ! the town about 4.30 p.m. when the water main burst, ( pouring thousands of gallons I of water down the main I thoroughfare. . • The highway was closed while the water was removed by pumping. The water, which reached 60cm in some places, caused damage to floor coverings and stock in some shops.
