Ticket kiosk change
People who use the Christchurch Transport Board's kiosk in Cathedral Square for tickets and time-table information will find only carpenters and builders in attendance for the next few weeks. To enable reconstruction work, the kiosk will be closed from today for seven weeks.
However, alongside the kiosk, the board will have a caravan from which it will provide its usual services. Its hours will be unchanged, 8 a.m. to 5.40 p.m. '
When it reopens, the kiosk will have more space and larger, more practical counters for the issuing of tickets, time-tables, and commuter information leaflets. As well, the kiosk will have a more efficient telephone system for bus fare and time-table inquiries.
