Harewood to meet Otago team
Otago University has given hockey a boost in its province by winning a place in the semi-finals of the H. W: Smith national inter-club competition. Otago beat its Wellington counterpart. Victoria University, 1-0 in extra time in Wellington yesterday. It will now play the Christchurch club, Harewood, in the semifinals at Auckland on September 25. Two Auckland clubs. St Lukes and Indians will meet in the other semifinal. The final will be played the following .day. Otago’s goal yesterday was scored by Jon Tanner, who this week, was named in a New Zealand squad of 23 for a trial week-end in Palmerston North on October 8, 9 and 10.
