S320M spent on refinery
Parliamentary reporter About $320 million has been spent in contracts and subcontracts for the Marsden Point refinery expansion, the Minister of Energy, Mr Birch, has told Parliament. Replying to a question by Mrs Ann Hercus (Lab., Lyttelton), he said that $l2O million or 37 per cent of the total had been spent in NewZealand. Over all, it was expected that New Zealand content of the project would be about 50 per cent of the total.
