Late kick-off likely
The vital Wrangler Cup rugby league match between the Canterbury champion, Addington, and the top Auckland club, Otahuhu, is likely to be played under floodlights on Saturday evening. Canterbury officials will discuss such a proposal at a meeting of the code's board of control this evening.
An evening kick-off — the match will probably start at 6.30 p.rn. — would give as many sports followers as possible the opportunity to watch two of New Zealand's leading club teams in action. In recent weeks Otahuhu bas twice convincingly beaten the other Auckland cup side, Glenora, while Add-
ington eliminated Waikiwi Warriors (Invercargill) from the cup and beat Hornby in an exciting Canterbury grand final. The curtain-raiser will be an Ham Cup challenge match between Burnside High School and Papanui High School.
