NZPA-Reuter Manila Military intelligence agents have discovered a large cache of explosives close to a large industrial zone on the Bataan Peninsula west of Manila, according to a military report from the area. Lieutenant-Colonel Benjamin Feliciano, paramilitary constabulary commander for Bataan, said in his report to military headquarters that the explosives, packed in soft drink and liquor bottles hidden in three ice boxes, were discovered at the week-end in a bakery in Mariveles, The report said that the explosives, which included fuses, blasting caps and chemicals used to make bombs, were believed to be intended for the New Peoples Army, a communist underground organisation which operates in many parts of the Philippines.
