Works closing for meeting at Feilding
PA Palmerston North The ’ Feilding freezing works will close today to give workers a chance of winning up to $200,000 at the Feilding Jockey Club’s jackpot meeting. The secretary of the Feilding club, Mr Eamon Kinsella, said the jackpot pool would start at $60,278, although be expected it to rise to $200,000. There will be five jackpot faces, and Mr Kinsella said the pot must be struck. If there was more than one winner the* money would be shared, he said. Mr Kinsella said 8000 to 10,000 punters were expected at the meeting.
