‘Splinters’
This seventh play in the “Top Ten” series takes as its year 1946, and the popular song is “To Each His Own.” The playwright, Roger Page, has called his drama “Splinters.” It follow an ex-soldier on the rocky road to rehabilitiation. His attempts to run a normal life are frustrated by the well-meaning possessiveness of his older sister — who has her own reasons for keeping him dependent. “Splinters” (National programme. 8 o’clock tonight) stars Barry Hill.
