Heroin quote denied
PA Wellington Mrs Diane Theilman, mother of Julie Theilman, who was a victim in Australia of the “Mr Asia” narcotics syndicate, yesterday denied that she had told reporters her daughter had been “pumped full of heroin” before being shot. Mrs Theilman said she had not told the Sydney “Sun” newspaper, as it reported last week, that the police had informed her that Julie and a friend, Greg Ollard, had been
lured to their deaths. The “Sun” quoted Mrs Theilman: “They were pumped full of heroin and then shot.” Mrs Theilman said she had .not spoken to any reporters and had not spoken to Sydney police since they left Auckland 10 days ago after interviewing her. “I did not tell the police anything, and they told me certain things which will remain confidential,” she said. _____
