New British loan to N.Z.
PA Wellington A JC2OO million, about $465 million, Government loan in Britain was confirmed yesterday by the Acting Minister of Finance, Mr Falloon. , News of the loan was first made public by the “Daily Telegraph” newspaper in London. The loan would be managed by the merchant bankers, S. G. Warburg and Company, and was for three years. The interest rate for the “floating rate syndicated bank credit” was set at a margin of 0.3 per cent above the London Interbank offered rate, Mr Falloon said.
