First investment by Robt Jones
The newly-formed property investor, Robt Jones Investments. Ltd. which will allocate its shares on. Wednesday, has purchased its first investment. The property manager of the AMP Society, Mr Roy Hanns, said yesterday that the society was happy with the price of $4.2 million it received for the sale of Borthwick House in The Terrace. Wellington, to Robt Jones Investments. Commenting on statements
by Mr Bob Jones, the chairman of Robt Jones Investments, that the building was worth considerably more, he said the AMP believed the sale price represented the correct value of the building. The AMP had sold Borthwick House as part of its normal real estate trading. he said. The AMP’s involvement in real estate was considerable. Its property portfolio at the end of December was worth $317 million.
