Forbury (tonight)

Special correspondent Dunedin Stampede should come into his own in the Dunedin Refrigeration Free-For-All, the first leg of the T.A.B. double and second leg of the T.A.B. treble, on the second evening of the Forbury Park Trotting Club's meeting this evening. Stampede did well to finish third to Amaze and Kintyre over 2200 metres on Wednesday, after tangling at the start and tailing the field for most of the way. Amaze and Kintyre are not engaged this evening and the longer distance should be in favour of Stampede, who looks in good order. Roydon Loch, an all-the-way winner of a C 3-4 free-for-all over 2700 metres on Wednesday, looks capable of a bold showing. Quinella, who finished almost in line with Stampede on Wednesday, will also have a following. She beat Roydon Loch bv two lengths over 2000 metres at Addington last Saturday. Skip Master, a grand run to finish second to Roydon Loch on Wednesday, will be in demand for the second leg of the T.A.B. double. The Nordel Skipper gelding was having his first race since January. He won three races at Forbury Park last season. Van Mac Faber. racing consistently in the grade, Acapulco, which lost his chance • at the start on Wednesday but his previous form was hard to fault, and Townsend, are others wdrthy of consideration.
