Lion makes changes at the top
Lion Breweries' managing director, Mr John Macfarlane, will become chairman from December, the company announced. He replaces Sir Ralph Thompson, who recently retired.
Mr R. C. Bradshaw. Lion's deputy chairman who had acted as chairman, would remain the deputy, the company said.
Mr Macfarlane will be succeeded as managing director by Mr Douglas Myers, the managing director of NZ Wines and Spirits. Mr Myers joined the board in August after he had bought nearly a quarterstake in the company.
