A second witness shot
NZPA New York A second witness in the investigation that cleared the Secretary of Labour, Mr Raymond Donovan, of allegations linking him to organised crime has been shot dead, police said yesterday. Mr Nathan Masselli was shot in his car in the Bronx. The F. 8.1. has been asked to investigate. Another figure in the Donovan probe, a former Teamsters’ Union official Fred Furino, was killed in June. The police are investigating whether Masselli’s death was linked to a buy-back deal involving his father’s construction and trucking firm. Pellegrino William .Masselli is the co-owner with a state Senator, Mr Joseph Galiber, of Jo-Pel Construction and Trucking. ’
