Mining sector busy
The mining and’oil sector was again busy on a moderately active New Zealand sharemarket yesterday. Mining issues were mixed, and industrials firmer. TNL Group firmed a further 2c on its excellent profit result, and N.Z. Forest Products was steady at 305 c in spite of predictions of an uncertain export outlook. Canterbury Frozen Meat was prominent on a 6c gain, and Southland Frozen Meat also firmed. New Zealand Refining rose 3c to 143 c in spite of industrial trouble at its refinery expansion site at Marsden Point.
