A PW2037 jet engine is inspected after high altitude performance tests at the Pratt and Whitney plant in Connecticut, United States. The technically-advanced engine is under full-scale development for future airline transports such as the Boeing 757. It will be ready for use by 1984 and is expected to save more than 30 per cent in fuel, compared to earlier engines.
