Bastion Point protest
PA ’ Auckland About 120 people occupied Housing. Corporation land at Bastion Point on Sunday in protest against the proposed sale of a 1.66 ha area. Two dozen policemen kept the group under observation throughout the afternoon. There were no auests. The protests s left the area about 5 p.m.. leaving behind placards. . A spokesman for the Joint Working Group, on Bastion Point said protests would continue until the plan to sell ■the land had been abandoned.
