Rider concussed
Teoni Gibbs received concussion and was taken to hospital for observation after her mount, Brightwater, fell 800 m from home in the Grand National Hurdles at Riccarton yesterday. Upper Cut, the favourite in the Aylesbury Handicap for three-year-olds reared when the barrier was released losing approximately 10 lengths. He was never in contention after, finishing fourteenth.
