Dugald McLean (Amberley) competing in the kill-and-dress section of Tasman regional final of the “Young, Farmer of the Year” contest in Westport at the week-end. The contest was won by Gary Barnett, of Blenheim, who scored 150 points, nine ahead of the second Ian Stevenson (Rangiora). McLean was third with 139 points, followed by Stephen Mackenzie (Blenheim), 124. Mr Barnett will now contest the grand final in Christchurch on August 6.
