Protest about scheme’s end
Concerned groups will protest in Cathedral Square at midday today against .. the proposed abolition of' the Voluntary Organisation JobCreation Scheme. \ i The activities,' organised by the Christchurch Youth and . Community Workers Group, will include a street theatre production and the distribution of pamphlets in support of the scheme, which employs more than 160 people, in Christchurch, The protest will include all interested organisatioris, including those affected by the education cuts. •
