Rescue off Irish coast
( NZPA London An Irish boat rescued two New Zealand yachtsmen yesterday after their catamaran capsized off southern Ireland.
Robert Denney, aged 26. and Tony Smith; were reported to be safe and well after the rescue.
Their 10m vessel Jan II capsized as they sailed on the second leg of the Binatone round. Britain and Ireland race.
Signals from their distress beacon were picked up by a Royal Air Force Nimrod on a routine flight, and the -aircraft located the yachtsmen in their dinghy alongside their overturned boat about 15 miles off the Irish coast.
