The Fall are almost certain to appear in a new Christchurch venue bn Tuesday and Wednesday, August 17 and 18.
Fronted by one of the personalities of modern English music, Mark E: Smith, The Fall sneaked out of Manchester in 1977, and have since released a stream of albums and singles, each achieving independent success. The band are known for their, disdain of ordinary “rock” trappings. The appearances should be a highlight of the music year in Christchurch.
Returning to Christchurch also are Split Enz, who have been scheduled to appear in the Town Hall on Tuesday, August. 24. ‘
