Crime scene visited
The Minister of Police (Mr Couch) yesterday went with,senior detectives ■ to the Wai- ‘ tham flat where Mr Alfred Anderson was killed six weeks ago. Mr Couch, who was in Christchurch to address a meeting of the Police. Association, was briefed on the progress of the homicide inquiry. There has been no big developments in the hunt for Mr Anderson’s killer, said a
C. 1.8. spokesman yesterday, although more than 20 people had been in touch with the police about a station-wag-gon seen near the Waltham Road flat about midnight on Friday of Queen’s Birthday week-end, the night Mr Anderson died. The station-waggon, possibly a mid-1960s model, had one left-hand door painted a different colour, and big round tail-lights.
