Dog theft a puzzle
A recent tale of “dognapping” has puzzled the New Brighton police. A six-month-old Doberman bitch was apparently stolen from her kennel on a Linwood Avenue property early yesterday. Her collar was found lying on the footpath outside the house. Constable P. Shaw said that it was an unusual case
because the black-and-tan , bitch, Lisha, had a long tail which made her easily identifiable. Most Dobermans had docked tails. The bitch was spayed and was really only of sentimental value to her owners. Anyone sighting Lisha was asked to get in touch with the New Brighton police.
