Relax in a spa pool at home

The ever increasing cost of oil-based fuels has imposed such a burden on travelrelated leisure activity that more and more discerning people have decided to reappraise their leisure and lifestyle concepts. As a result, conscious decisions have been made to improve the homh environment with a view to spending more leisure, and even holiday, time at home. A central feature of many home improvement programmes is the installation

of a spa or swimming pool, or both. A poo] can be a focal poi.,i for entertaining or just for relaxing. Best of all. the home pool is always there when you want to use it. Prom an investment point of view, a pool adds prestige to the home and adds real value to your property. As this is a permanent improvement the pool continues to appreciate in value, along with the house and land. Spa pools come in four basic types of finishes - concrete, polyethylene, fibre-

glass and acrylic. Wooden hot tubs are also available. A most important and integral part of any pool complex is the management and treatment of the pool water. It is essential that the filtration system is adequate for the job. Chemical treatment of the water plays an important role in keeping the spa pool clean and healthy to use.
