Election date
The British Government has chosen October 20 as election day for the new assembly it plans to set up in Northern Ireland, say political sources. This is the fourth attempt to find a workable political structure for the province since Britian dissolved the Protestant-domin-ated Parliament in Belfast in 1972. The 78-seat assembly will have an advisory role until the .British Parliament is satisfied that it has won the confidence of Catholics and Protestants.—London.
