A $lO million order for the control-room instrumentation at the expanded Marsden Point refinery has been placed with Honeywell, an international supplier of digital control systems and computers.. ' The instrumentation will include the most modern technology available, says Honeywell. The control system is being built in America and the Netherlands and Honeywell's wholly-owned New Zealand subsidiary, Honeywell Control Systems. Ltd, will assist in the commissioning of the new. controls. Honeywell Control Systems’ managing director (Mr J. F. Emery) said the company would also assist in the training of the refinery staff to use the new instruments. The system is due to be delivered next year.
