Dalhoff suspension lifted
Share prices firmed in quiet trading on New’ Zealand stock exchanges yesterday, probably in reaction to last week's bearish mood after the Government had announced its price and wages controls. Trading resumed in Dalhoff and King. The issue had been suspended on Friday after the announcement that the company had been placed in receivership. No Dalhoff and King shares were traded nationally yesterday, and the latest quotations on the Christchurch Invercargill Stock Exchange were buy, 10c; sell, 35c. The shares sold early on Friday at 40c. Yates Corporation rose 10c ahead of the news that Allied Farmers’ directors had recommended its bid to shareholders. Allied Farmers' gained sc. The N.Z.U.C. industrial index rose 4.37 points to close at 635.40.
