Swedes consolidate Motogard lead

off Reg Cook and Paul Adams. Mikkola failed to reach the finish within his allotted time so the Audi Motogard effort was over. Inky Tulloch of Mataura withdrew 'from the rally last evening when the motor and the clutch of his Datsun blew up.
