Freeze leads to rate cuts
PA Nelson I ■ Two local authorities in Nelson have cut their rates following last week's wageprice freeze. The Waimea County Council has cut its rate rise from 19.48 per cent to 16.48 per cent, and a committee of the Richmond Borough Council is recommending a cut from 28.5 per cent to 25.4 per cent. A Nelson City Council committee will meet in two weeks to consider a rates cut.
