Hagley High petition sent
A petition opposing the closing of Hagley High School has been signed by about 2500 people and sent to the Minister of Education (Mr Wellington). The petition was started three weeks ago by a Christchurch woman, Mrs M. D. Stanley, who said yesterday she was pleased with the number of signatories. She hoped Mr Wellington would take note of the public concern that the petition reflected.
