Sir,—lt must come as a relief to the chronically sick, elderly, and many families to learn, that the- Minister of Health (Mr Malcolm) is not going to tax ill-health by imposing prescription, charges. Ann Hercus, M.P., and her supporters relentlessly attacked the Minister for trying to subvert what has been' for over 40 years a very good health service. 1 Everybo'dy must keep an .eye open forpeopie like Mr Malcblm who would substitute' a completely "user-pays" system to replace what can be called a social insurance svstem-Yours, etc., R.
