Nurses want subsidy cut
PA ' Auckland The Government should consider -withdrawing subsidies to private hospitals, says the national director of the Nurses Societv. Mr David Wills. He said that now the idea of prescription charges had been rejected, this was the only other area where significant savings • could .be made.
The withdrawal of private hospital subsidieswould save about .140 million a year, he said. His society welcomed the decision not to introduce prescription charges.
