Bowls trialists
Ricky Fraser, a former winner, and Garry Watson, last year’s runner-iip. head a list of 40 Canterbury indoor bowlers who will be at the Kearneys Road hall on Sunday battling for a place in the A.N.Z. Bank national junior singles.
The winner of the elimination contest goes forward to the national final at Porirua on July 24. The brothers. Simon and Adrian Crosby, who form a notable pairs team, are among the entrants. Aged 13 and 11 respectively, they have already shown themselves to be’in form with a win in a recent open pairs aggregate event over 16 games.
