Bureau receives 1423 inquiries
The Christchurch Citizens' Advice Bureau dealt with an upsurge of calls about finance and budgeting and health and medical problems last month, according ’ to bureau statistics.
■, Calls on family, marriage and persona! problems, and legal matters were consistently high.
Of the 1423 calls received. 1042. or 73.2 per cent, came from women The average daily calls totalled 67.8. and 1058. or 74.3 per cent, came from central Christchurch.
Family, marriage, and personal' problems accounted for 208 calls, consumer, trade and manufacturing inquiries 162. legal 160. tenancy and accommodation 150. and local information 143.
At present. 12 prospective interviewers are being trained to join the bureau team. Ten training sessions will be held.
