CROMWELL TOWN CENTRE RETAIL AND COMMERCIAL development Applications for Registration of interest for town centre sites The preliminary design of the new Central Business District for Cromwell has been completed. The preliminary planning is based on an attractive pedestrian mall concept sited so as to suit the needs of the people of Cromwell and to service the surrounding district and . the . adjacent State Highway traffic. Access to the new area is convenient and adequate parking to serve the retail space will be provided by the community. The population is expected to rise quickly to 4500 and there is a population of 1500 in the surrounding countryside. The proposed development has been designed to cater for all the requirements of this population base. To assist intending applicants, a brochure has been produced which indicates the preliminary planning and sets out information for those interested in establishing retail or commercial activities -in Cromwell. This is available to interested developers from the undersigned.
