N.Z. diplomats accredited
PA Nairobi New Zealand had accredited diplomats to Kenya. Tanzania, and Nigeria in an effort to improve links with black African nations, said diplomatic sources yesterday. Relations had been soured by complaints from black Africa about New Zealand’s rugby links with South Africa, they said. High Commissioner Paul Cotton, who is already accredited to Tanzania, presented his credentials to President Daniel Arap Moi yesterday, establishing New Zealand’s first diplomatic link with Kenya. New Zealand’s High Commissioner to Britain had been accredited to Nigeria, the sources said.
