The officials, helpers and volunteers who turned out to kindly make the day the success it was. The people of Christchurch and others who lined the route and came to Q£ll Park to cheer and help the runners on. The Ministry of Transport and their many officers; the St John Ambulance people; the Parks and Recreation Department City of Christchurch; Waimairi Paparua and Riccarton counties; the Christchurch Radio Cbmmunity Team; the Motor Cycle Express Riders. To all the many sponsors and supporters, without them it would be so hard to stage this truly international marathon. To those we inconvenienced, we are so sorry and we trust that you understand.
