Air N.Z. offers holiday packages
NZPA Sydney $ Air New Zealand is offer- 1 ing Australians more low- ' priced New Zealand holiday packages. < A new holiday scheme, j announced on Friday will ] give a family of four one ] week's holiday in New Zealand from sAustB99 < (SNZI24O). This includes air < fares and accommodation. The package was launched i in conjunction with Qantas and the New Zealand Gov- ) ernment Tourist Bureau. It is designed to fill empty Tasman seats caused by the
slack market and Air New Zealand's increased capacity, because it now uses Boeing 7475. “It has been aimed at stimulating the market and putting the emphasis back on New Zealand,” said an Air New Zealand spokesman. “But it is certainly not a desperation measure,” he said. The fare was the lowest since 197 L he said. The three participants were spending about $0.5 million promoting, the two-stage packages, which were aimed at the winter and spring markets.
