N.Z., Aust. together on tourism
NZPA staff correspondent SydneyNew Zealand and Australian Government tourist organisations will study ways of working together to promote the two countries in North America. This has been decided at a meeting between New Zealand's Minister for Tourism (Mr Talbot) and Australia’s Minister for Industry and Commerce, Sir Philip Lynch. “It is a most exciting prospect." said Mr Talbot from Canberra after the meeting yesterday. The study would take about two to three months and would investigate the ways airlines, tour firms, and others involved in the tourist industry could work together to market Australia and NewZealand in the United States and Canada as a holidaydestination.
