The property was auctioned by Mr B. Farrow of Mercer Real Estate at a sale attended by 42 people.

' was passed in at auction on May 27 for $125,000 but was sold privately immediately afterwards. The house, together with a large section, has a G.V. (1981) of $55,000. It has a dining room, lounge, sunroom, study and a double garage. It was auctioned by Mr G. A. Woodley on behalf of Binns, Barber and Keenan, Ltd. at a well-attended sale. A 201 ha stock and grazng unit with an historic homestead on the main OxfordRangiora Road, near Rangiora, was passed in at auction on May 27 for $701,000. The two-storeyed house in the English baronial style “Springbank Homestead” — is well-maintained, and set amongst a plantation of' mature trees. ;• ■ It and the farm, which carries 2600 stock units, were offered for sale on the account of Mr K. B. Smith. The . Smith family has owned the property for many years. ' . It was auctioned by Mr W. R. Flanagan, of Matson and Allan. He said that the sale had attracted a large crowd, and that negotiations were under way to sell the holding privately. A4olha freehold stock and fattening unit in Omihi was passed in at auction on June 2 for $820,000. The property, which includes two three-bedroomed homes, a swimming pool and a comprehensive range of outbuildings, has a G.V. (1979) of $311,500. It carries more than 6000 stock units and has 40ha in forestry, . About 30 people attended the auction, which was conducted by Mr H. Morrison, of Dalgety Real Estate. A private sale-is being negotiated.
