Nurses want pool fences
The Nurses' Society of New Zealand has joined calls for the introduction of bylaws requiring domestic pools to be fenced. The national director of the society. Mr David Wills, said that the fences were needed to protect children against an "avoidable hazard." “Responsible home owners would not be affected by such a by-law because they would already have taken such a precaution. Onlj' the irresponsible person would be affected." he said.
