Robbers snatch key
PA Auckland The police have recovered a car stolen from a Point Chevalier woman, aged 73. who was bullied by five men and had her car key snatched from her. ,*. Detective Inspector P. L. Robinson said that the vehicle was abandoned outside the Glen Innes Post Office on - Thursday after publicity about the aggravated robbery on Wednesday night.
Mr Robinson said that detectives were looking for five men— a European and four , Polynesians — who “stood over” the woman and‘her son outside their Pelham Avenue, home. The men had said that they were repossession agents, and ignored the woman’s repeated denials that any money was owed on the . car. She had paid cash for it some time ago.
