All skins reduced
Another drop in the lamb pelt market has resulted in a further reduction.of 25c in the payment to farmers for all skins, according to the meat export schedule for next week. The Government supplementary payment for prime beef has been reduced 2c a kilogram to 5c and the manufacturing grade supplement has increased from 18e to 20'ac. The supplement for bull beef will remain at 9c. . Representative prices for lamb skins are: with o.skg of wool on a woolly skin. 75c: Ikg. 195 c; I.skg. 320 c; and 2kg, 445 c. With o.skg of wool on a shorn skin the payment will be 55c; Ikg. 178 c: arid I.skg. 303 c. ‘ A sheep skin with o.skg of wool will be worth 34c; Ikg. 143 c; I.skg. 258 c; and 2kg. 391 c.
