Shipping policy
The Government's shipping policy will come under immediate review, according to the Minister ot Transport (Mr Gair). "We will have to consider ouf policies towards both the coastal trades and the deep sea or international trades,” Mr Gair told the New Zealand Company of Master Mariners recently. Preparation for the shipping review had been going quietly over the last year. Now it was time to . give the review the urgency it deserved and press ahead with it. he said.
